I’ll never forget the moment I saw my result: 93.5, far above the pass mark of 77. That number meant more than a pass. It represented the closing of a difficult chapter and the beginning of something new. If you’re reading this and feeling overwhelmed by the SCA exam, especially as an international medical graduate (IMG), please know this: I’ve been there — the doubts, the fear, the frustration — and I’m here to share everything that helped me move from failure to flying colours. I even considered life as an SHO, switching to the CESR route, or just giving up GP and medicine altogether and focusing on my master's degrees in public health or chasing a new career with my MBA. I had degrees, I had resilience, and I had other career options. I was ready to quit, so why didn't I?
