In telephone consultations, one of the significant challenges is the absence of visual cues, which can make it harder to assess a patient's condition. Without the ability to see the patient, you lose non-verbal information, such as facial expressions, body language, or visual signs of distress or discomfort. Additionally, when a patient has not submitted a picture for a consultation—particularly when discussing skin conditions or visual symptoms—it can make it more difficult to form a clear diagnosis.
