Overview Prescribing is one of the most scrutinised competencies in GP training. It appears in your portfolio, your ARCP review, and your day-to-day clinical practice from day one. Yet most GP trainees do not know how to document their prescribing decisions in a way that demonstrates genuine competency — or how to reflect on errors without undermining their own professional standing.
This 90-minute session cuts through the confusion. We will cover what a strong prescribing log actually looks like, how to write a reflection on a prescribing error that shows learning rather than blame, and work through a live antibiotic stewardship case together.
